Job Title: LLOP Order Picker
Location: Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan
Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 (12-hour shifts)
Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotation):
- Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
- Week 2: Sunday, Monday & Tuesday
- Rotating weekly (4 days one week, 3 days the next)
About the Role
A Star Recruitment is currently recruiting LLOP Order Pickers on behalf of a leading distribution centre based in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy warehouse with ongoing work, consistent hours, and the potential for a permanent position.
Working within a fast-paced distribution environment, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders using a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) while maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy, and safety. LLOP-based order picking is common in the large distribution centres in Ashton-in-Makerfield.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) safely and efficiently.
- Pick customer orders accurately using handheld scanners or voice-picking equipment.
- Build stable pallets ready for dispatch.
- Wrap, label and prepare completed pallets.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure order accuracy.
- Meet individual picking targets and productivity standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and warehouse policies.
- Report damaged stock or equipment to supervisors.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Previous LLOP experience is beneficial, although full training may be provided for suitable candidates.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and able to spend long periods on your feet.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work the rotating shift pattern.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
